ROLE DESCRIPTION:
As a Customer Service & Sales Representative with Tim Hutcheson Agency, you will support both our customers and our service team by handling routine service requests while contributing to agency growth through consultative sales. This role is designed to assist a senior service professional by managing lighter service tasks, allowing complex customer needs to receive focused attention. You will help maintain strong customer relationships, ensure efficient service delivery, and identify opportunities to recommend additional insurance solutions. This position blends service excellence with sales responsibility and offers growth opportunities for motivated, performance-driven individuals.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support the service team by handling routine customer service requests
  • Respond to customer inquiries and provide accurate policy information
  • Process policy changes, updates, and account maintenance
  • Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities
  • Conduct consultative conversations to recommend appropriate products
  • Assist customers through the claims process and follow up as needed
  • Maintain accurate customer and policy documentation
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and consistent service
SALES EXPECTATIONS

  • Engage in inbound and outbound sales conversations
  • Generate new policies and additional coverage for existing customers
  • Follow up on warm leads, referrals, and identified coverage gaps
  • Meet established sales and activity expectations
  • Participate in ongoing sales coaching and development
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Customer-focused with comfort in sales-oriented roles
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Customer service or sales experience preferred
  • Insurance licensing (or willingness to obtain) required
